Kurt Englund, Certified Professional in Human Resources, was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. Kurt began his career in the hospitality industry and has extensive management training/skills from a past Fortune 500 company. Kurt has an extensive background working in both operations and human resources management. His work experience with the employment life cycle includes creating two start-up HR departments, conducting HR risk assessments, strategic recruitment, behavioral interviewing, employment/on-boarding, staff development, performance management/appraisals, creating job descriptions, mediation and conflict resolution, benefit administration & “wellness”, payroll policies, compensation and employee recognition/retention, management development programs, employee safety and fleet management programs, records management, developing policies/procedures/handbooks, employment law and compliance with local, state and federal agencies, separations, exit interviews, and defending unemployment claims. Kurt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
