Examples of Conditioned Air's
New Construction Work

soffet mounted diffuser

This is an example of a soffet mounted diffuser can connected with flexible ductwork to fit in a tight space in a custom home. Please note the attic insulation is a foam material sprayed to the under side of the roof deck. This type of installation coupled with a sealed attic (no ventilation what so ever) provides for a very dry attic space. Conditioned Air endorses this construction methodology for added humidity control above and beyond the air conditioning system itself. When designed and constructed properly a tight, dry and cool home can be accomplished.

supply and return plenums

This is an example of a light commercial installation showing wrapped sheet metal duct work, both supply and return plenums. Also visible is the lay in diffuser with its wrapped sheet metal supply.

refrigeration accessory piping

Conditioned Air is experienced in refrigeration accessory piping as seen here on this outdoor air dehumidification unit. This unit is located in an office building and provides outside air, as required by code, but is pre-treated to remove humidity before it is injected into the air handlers for general distribution in the office building. Many larger homes are now using versions of outside air dehumidification units to provide further enhanced comfort along with variable speed air conditioning equipment.

architectural treatment for air distribution

This is an example of an architectural treatment for air distribution utilizing linear slot diffusers run in between the trusses of a ceiling. Each diffuser is connected to the supply plenum, held high in the attic, utilizing silver flexible ductwork. Please note that at each penetration on the linear diffuser cans the flex is strapped, taped and sealed with mastic adhesive to prevent air leakage. Please note also that this ceiling structure utilizes sprayed in expanding foam and a sealed soffet system to provide a tight, dry attic space for humidity control. Conditioned Air endorses this construction methodology for added humidity control above and beyond the air conditioning system itself. When designed and constructed properly a tight, dry and cool home can be accomplished.

linear slot diffusers

This is an example of highly specialized, linear slot diffusers that the architect intended to run 90 degrees to the truss work, but also desired a longer look to the linear slot diffusers. Please notice that the trusses were not removed or damaged in the installation but rather wrapped with insulation and sealed so as to become part of the air distribution system. At Conditioned Air we custom manufacture all our linear slot cans either on job site or in our fabrication shop. This example shows on job site fabrication.

view of a supply plenum

This is a view of a supply plenum in a custom home held high for proper air distribution. Please note the flexible duct connections coming off of the supply plenum. All flexible duct connections in this installation are strapped, taped, and then sealed with mastic adhesive. All joints of the hard duct board plenum are sealed with mastic as well providing for an airtight duct installation.
