Work Hours Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with a half hour for lunch. May require extended weekday hours and occasional Saturday & Sunday work or until job complete.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Posses a valid driver’s license
- 5 years installation experience at a minimum
- Own hand tools
- EPA Certified
A Plus to have:
- Technical school graduate
- Universal refrigerant certification
- ISL Universal Self Study, Installation, Technician Communications*
- NATE Core Installation, Air Conditioning Installation and Gas Heating (Air) Installation
Basic Job Function
- The installation of residential HVAC heating and cooling systems, zoning systems and other related installations.
- The installation of ductwork and duct systems.
- Leading and training an Assistant Installer
Reporting Relationships
- Lead Installers report directly to the Installation Manager.
- Lead Installers have a functional relationship with the Warehouse/Inventory Controller, Sheet Metal Fabricator, or Installation teams, Maintenance and Service Technicians and the administrator.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy.
- Have and develop strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers and have a solid understanding of their capabilities.
- Review estimates and make changes as needed.
- Handle most complex estimating bids and projects, Residential and Light Commercial.
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 7 years of construction industry estimating and designing experience for residential HVAC and light commercial with computerized estimating software
- Strong conceptual estimating experience required.
- Strong work ethic
- Proficient with computer, internet and software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), Wrightsoft, (Auto CAD LT, Quickpen and Energy Gauge a plus)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Basic Job Function
- Perform Tune-Up and Professional Cleanings on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Diagnose residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems to determine the cause of failure and repair systems as needed or set a replacement lead.
- Be knowledgeable of products and services that solve our customer’s specific comfort needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a positive and winning attitude at all times.
- Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and respect.
- Arrive on time and ready to begin work every day.
- Be neatly groomed and fully dressed only in a clean company approved uniform.
- Possess all the required tools to perform the job of a maintenance technician.
- Always use a Safety First approach to all work.
- Always use the proper safety clothing, tools and precautions before beginning any work.
- Complete each and every tune-up and service call thoroughly, efficiently and without need for a callback.
- Discuss all repair/replace options available with the customer.
- Utilize the Internet based technical training offered by the company.
- Complete the NATE Certification Service classes for advancement.
