LEAD INSTALLER- REPLACEMENTS DEPARTMENT

Work Hours       Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with a half hour for lunch. May require extended weekday hours and occasional Saturday & Sunday work or until job complete.

Minimum Job Requirements

  1. Posses a valid driver’s license
  2. 5 years installation experience at a minimum
  3. Own hand tools
  4. EPA Certified

A Plus to have:

  1. Technical school graduate
  2. Universal refrigerant certification
  3. ISL Universal Self Study, Installation, Technician Communications*
  4. NATE Core Installation, Air Conditioning Installation and Gas Heating (Air) Installation

Basic Job Function

  1. The installation of residential HVAC heating and cooling systems, zoning systems and other related installations.
  2. The installation of ductwork and duct systems.
  3. Leading and training an Assistant Installer

Reporting Relationships

  1. Lead Installers report directly to the Installation Manager.
  2. Lead Installers have a functional relationship with the Warehouse/Inventory Controller, Sheet Metal Fabricator, or Installation teams, Maintenance and Service Technicians and the administrator.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  2. Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy.
  3. Have and develop strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers and have a solid understanding of their capabilities.
  4. Review estimates and make changes as needed.
  5. Handle most complex estimating bids and projects, Residential and Light Commercial.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Minimum of 7 years of construction industry estimating and designing experience for residential HVAC and light commercial with computerized estimating software
  2. Strong conceptual estimating experience required.
  3. Strong work ethic
  4. Proficient with computer, internet and software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), Wrightsoft, (Auto CAD LT, Quickpen and Energy Gauge a plus)
  5. Effective oral and written communication skills
  6. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Basic Job Function

  1. Perform Tune-Up and Professional Cleanings on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems.
  2. Diagnose residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems to determine the cause of failure and repair systems as needed or set a replacement lead.
  3. Be knowledgeable of products and services that solve our customer’s specific comfort needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a positive and winning attitude at all times.
  2. Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and respect.
  3. Arrive on time and ready to begin work every day.
  4. Be neatly groomed and fully dressed only in a clean company approved uniform.
  5. Possess all the required tools to perform the job of a maintenance technician.
  6. Always use a Safety First approach to all work.
  7. Always use the proper safety clothing, tools and precautions before beginning any work.
  8. Complete each and every tune-up and service call thoroughly, efficiently and without need for a callback.
  9. Discuss all repair/replace options available with the customer.
  10. Utilize the Internet based technical training offered by the company.
  11. Complete the NATE Certification Service classes for advancement.
