Uncommon Friends is a character education foundation whose purpose is to instill ethics, moral values and a sense of purpose in tomorrow’s leaders. Conditioned Air was recognized for their ethical practices and won the 2011 Uncommon Friends Business Ethics Award.

Building Managers International is an organization of Community Association Managers dedicated to improving the education and professionalism of licensed Community Association Managers in the State of Florida. BMI is the only statewide organization created and operated by and for the benefit of Florida Managers. Our National Board of Directors and the Boards of each local chapter are made up of managers and associates working together.

Founded in 1965 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, BMI rapidly grew to be recognized as an invaluable source of education, information and professional association by condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations throughout the State. BMI through their lobbyist, Legislative leaders and financial support brought about CAM licensing. BMI plays a pivotal role in CAM education for the renewal of licenses.

The West Florida Chapter of Community Associations Institute serves the educational, business, and networking needs of community associations in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties of Southwest Florida. Members include condominium, cooperative, and homeowner associations as well as those who provide services and products to associations. The West Florida Chapter has over 650 members. The chapter is one of 59 Community Associations Institute chapters in the nation.

Our chapter provides a number of educational seminars for homeowners and Community Association Board Members as well as Community Association Managers and our Business Partners. Our goal is to bring you the most knowledgeable and experienced experts in their fields to give you the information you need to make your community more enjoyable. One of the most active chapters in the nation, we also conduct numerous networking events as well having some fun with a variety of social activities.

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Trustee Program is designed to connect CEO’s, senior executives and other key business leaders from the region’s top companies with substantial value and benefits geared to meet the challenges of business issues most relevant to them and the business community.
