Bill Cates, Supervisor: I was born and raised in northwest Indiana, just outside Chicago. I worked in the steel industry as a millwright and millwright foreman. I obtained an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in the field of HVAC from Indiana State Technical College in the mid-1980s. I was the qualified partner of a small air conditioning and heating business for twenty years. I retired in 2003 and moved to Florida, where I started work at Conditioned Air in February, 2005. I have since obtained a State of Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractors License.
Chris Vande Voorde: I was born and raised in Columbus Michigan. I began working in the HVAC industry as an Installer Apprentice and worked my way through the trade to become a Journeyman Installer and Service Technician. In 2004, I relocated to Southwest Florida, and began working for Conditioned Air. During that time I became a Senior Service Technician and grew a large customer base. I attended numerous classes every year to keep up on the latest technology in the industry. I am also a member of the Greater Ft. Myers Chamber of Commerce. I spend my free time with two retired racing Greyhounds, named Fancy and Herman, and also volunteer for the Greyhound Adoption Kennel in North Ft. Myers.
Tom Hearl: I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio. I have been married to my wife Paula for twenty seven years and we have a son Trevor. We moved to southwest Florida in 1988. My son Trevor attends Gulf Coast University. I began my career in the HVAC industry when I relocated to Southwest Florida. I have extensive training in the sales of residential and commercial service agreements, design and sales of residential HVAC equipment for the replacement market. My focus is on providing solutions to air conditioning problems with customer satisfaction as my number one priority. I spend my free time fishing freshwater and saltwater with my son Trevor.
Wayne Garrick: I was born in Birmingham, AL and grew up in Atlanta, GA. I began my HVAC career in 1973 as a residential installer and worked my way to crew supervisor. I soon moved to the service side, largely due to my aviation electrical education and training in the US Navy. In 1982 I completed my technical training in advanced HVAC service at AirCond Atlanta and heat load calculations at Atlanta Area Tech. For over 20 years I have been involved in sales and marketing. In November of 2009 I joined the Replacement Sales department here at Conditioned Air where the training is an ongoing process and customer satisfaction is the main priority. My desire is to have the opportunity to develop and cultivate relationships through meeting the air conditioning needs of business and home owners throughout SW Florida.
I have been a resident of Naples, FL since 1995 and love living here with my wife Donna whom I have been married to for over 36 years. Along with biking and the beach we enjoy spending time with our two children, their spouses and three granddaughters.
Rob Kujawa: I was born in Burbank and raised in Anaheim, California before relocating to Naples. After graduating from Naples High School, I joined the Navy where I was a Deck Seaman for two years before becoming a Quarter Master of Navigation. During my time with the Navy, I was stationed in Mayport, FL on board the USS McInerney where I was able to travel all of South America, South Africa and the Caribbean Islands. Upon leaving the Navy in 2000, I began working in the HVAC industry in both California and Naples. I have been with Conditioned Air for 1 1/2 years and have truly enjoyed my time with this company. I have a one year-old daughter Emma with my wife Michelle and in my free time I’m an avid fisherman.
Al Benincasa: I was born and raised In Long island New York. I started my career as a Financial manager for various Wall Street firms for almost 20 years before entering the Energy Industry. I was a COO of an energy trading company before becoming a partner in a commercial/industrial HVAC company in New York City. My wife Rachel and I moved to Sarasota in 2005 and I have been working in the Air Conditioning Industry on the Gulf Coast for the last 6 years. My expertise is in designing the proper system for each customer as well as considering the proper investment parameters to meet each individuals’ needs. I am an active member of the Community Association Institute, Longboat-Lido Chamber of Commerce and the Building Managers International. In my free time I enjoy golfing, traveling and experiencing what life has to offer.
